The Way I Look At Things

Hello World!
I see you,
With eyes open wide
And at times closed shut.
Sometimes you're hazy
And I start squinting.
Other times you're sad
And I bleary eyed.
Through covered eyes
I see your scary sights.
Through tired, droopy eyes
Through glasses thick as pies.
But most of the time
I see you, beautiful world
In good light
Through my rose-tinted shades.

The Devil That Grows Inside Me

Born
I am innocent.
Knows neither sin.
Nor see sinners.


Expecting
Little to nothing,
From crawling
I start walking.


Vices
Settling in.
First slowly
But steadily.


Evil
Takes form,
As a devil
That's born within.


Envy
Becomes
The first breath
Of this devil.


Mine
It's all mine.
And yours
Is but pitiful.


Failure
Disturbs me
Others' success
Repulsive.


Vain
I become
Thinking
Am at alls center.


Sex
Infiltrates then
The mind first
Then the body.


Empty
Becomes you
Deprived
And lonely.


Fire
Consumes me
And the eyes
Start darting.


Lost.
It's here.
Found
It's nowhere.


Kill
I plead
Can't take
It no more.


Death
Becomes
The answer
For all.


The Devil
Breathes
One last time.
So do I.
