Speaker Sauce - Part 2

Sauce #1
CocoRosie - Lemonade
CocoRosie is a sister-duo. Their sound is very reminiscent of Fever Ray. Especially love how the polar opposites of styles of the sisters come together. Here's Lemonade.

Sauce #2
Kavinsky feat. Lovefoxxx - Nightcall
The soundtrack of Drive has some really wonderful electronic music. And this one especially stands out. Otherworldly vocals merging into a smooth electronic rhythm. Very 80s synthy.

Sauce #3
Emika - Double Edge
Play this music if you want your subwoofers cleaned. The youtube video here really doesn't do justice to the pulsating bass of Emika's sound.

Sauce #4
Hybrid - Formula of Fear
After the rather sober opening to this list, here is a well-produced electronic track that's upbeat. I first listened to in this video (which is also spellbinding).

Sauce #5
Vishal-Shekhar - Piya Tu Kaahe Rootha Re (Singer: Javed Bashir | Movie: Kahaani)
Ending things with a hindi song that is in complete contrast to the previous songs here. It's rock-ish and Vishal-Shekhar is in some fine form with the soundtrack. Amit Trivedi has a lot of catching up to do.

PS: These lists are taking forever to come up. Finding new music seems so difficult even with SO many artistes in the world coming up every day.

404

In the end
The very end.
There was no one,
No trees,
No flowers,
No paved streets.
No world,
No life,
No hope of a repeat.
The only thing
That got left behind,
In the middle of nowhere,
Was nothing.

Remember That?

Faces
Disappearing into a crowd.
Names, soon forgotten;
Laughs lost, wiped forever.
Places,
Hidden between the rubbles.
Bodies,
Lost amidst corpses.
Memories.
They are quickly forgotten.

(Today a friend shared this amazing site. That is part of why this was written. Another reason was I saw the rubbles of a demolished building pretty close to my place, but I had no recollection of what that building was like. Sorry, building in ruins. I'm sure you had a great character and charmed many.)

One Big Holy Family

Shiva Nandi Ganapathy
Brahma Vishnu Saraswati
Rama Lakshmi Vamana
Krishna Hanuman Lakshmana.
Hundred Gods on hundred
In my Hindu religion.
But why in heaven's name
Has none of them got a last name?

The Way I Look At Things

Hello World!
I see you,
With eyes open wide
And at times closed shut.
Sometimes you're hazy
And I start squinting.
Other times you're sad
And I bleary eyed.
Through covered eyes
I see your scary sights.
Through tired, droopy eyes
Through glasses thick as pies.
But most of the time
I see you, beautiful world
In good light
Through my rose-tinted shades.

The Devil That Grows Inside Me

Born
I am innocent.
Knows neither sin.
Nor see sinners.

Expecting
Little to nothing,
From crawling
I start walking.

Vices
Settling in.
First slowly
But steadily.

Evil
Takes form,
As a devil
That's born within.

Envy
Becomes
The first breath
Of this devil.

Mine
It's all mine.
And yours
Is but pitiful.

Failure
Disturbs me
Others' success
Repulsive.

Vain
I become
Thinking
Am at alls center.

Sex
Infiltrates then
The mind first
Then the body.

Empty
Becomes you
Deprived
And lonely.

Fire
Consumes me
And the eyes
Start darting.

Lost.
It's here.
Found
It's nowhere.

Kill
I plead
Can't take
It no more.

Death
Becomes
The answer
For all.

The Devil
Breathes
One last time.
So do I.
